CITIZEN'S CRIME WATCH and the Police

Citizen's Crime Watcher are the proactive link to the police - the early warning mechanism - the first line of defense against crime, drugs and quality of life issues.

CCW and the Police rely on each other to effectively help reduce crime in the neighborhoods, Citizen's Crime Watchers are the "eyes and ears" he police need to help do their jobs.

Aside from catching criminals, the police perform a number of other services for the community.

They lecture at Citizen's Crime Watch meetings, instructing residents in observation, description and security techniques.

Many departments will conduct a home security survey (by appointment) and will list topics such as gun safety, auto theft, gang awareness and on the most recent crime prevention tips.
